Accelerator/Hardener (SM-160) An optional accelerator/hardener for use with SM-1000 Revolution and SM-2020 Mono Epoxy color coatings and clears. When added to one of these products according to label directions it will speed dry and cure times, improve hardness, chemical resistance and abrasion resistance. Use it in high traffic areas and where dry and cure times are limited. Reduce dosage by 50% when used on wood. Pot-life is approximately 2 hours. Use only where directed.

How much should you use? - 1/2 a pint per gallon of paint.
Does this product affect the sheen of the paint? - No. It only affects the hardness of the coating.
Does this product affect the cure time of the paint? - It does, but only slightly. The effect is minimal, so it's not recommended to people unless they have a specific application for it. For example, there is a customer who uses SM160 on kayaks to produce a harder finish. This helps sustain the coating as the kayak bounces off rocks.
