Has anyone ever wetsand and buff the Duralux topside paint after it dries to have a nice slick finish? I have a little orange peel and want to wetsand it before I put another coat. I just was wondering if anyone else has done the normal wetsand and buff with rubbing compound to bring out the shine again.

Although I haven't had any reports from customers that have done that I think it could be done...the finer grit the better. It all depends on how many mils were used on that coat. I find with this paint nice thin coats work best, especially with darker colors due to the high level of pigments in this paint. On the second coat you may wish to thin it a bit (1/2 pint to 1 pint per gl). Duralux can be reached at 800-626-6407 for more specific information.
