Wax/Polish Hard Bottom Side Paint - ashernaf - 07-30-2012 11:05 AM

Was hoping to get a nice polished as shiny as possible finish, didnt realize (my newbie ignorance) that it was a semi-gloss finish. What is the best wax/polish and can I add this to a hard bottom side paint to buff it up a little bit?

All bottom paints are semi-gloss to flat by nature. If you do want a sheen on your bottom paint, it is best to put an extra coat on when you apply it, and then wet sand it with 400 grit up to 1000 grit. Then you can buff it out, but you do not want to use any "Product" (like wax or polish) to get a shine , as it will affect the antifouling characteristics.
