I'll use a patch aid to thin the gel and it is my understanding that the patch aid has the necessary wax without having to apply more wax additives. I'm confused about building up the layers of gel and thought that spraying one light coat after another with maybe a minute wait between coats was all that was necesary to build up the layers without having to wait for the gel to dry and sand between coats??
The patch aid is the best thing out there for a nice application but since it does include the wax it would make it necessary to sand/clean gelcoat in between coats. That can be avoided by just adding the patch aid to the final coat.
