The primer is right...but you should not really use a copper base paint (AF-33) on an aluminum boat. Copper will react with the aluminum causing pitting and corrosion.

If you do use the Tuff Stuff and AF-33 combination, be sure to put on at least 4 coats of Tuff Stuff primer. That will help insulate the copper based bottom paint from the aluminum.

Otherwise, change the paint that you are using to Mission Bay (for fresh water) or Smart Solution for salt/brackish water. That way you have no worries of corrosion.

All the paints mentioned above are good for going in and out of the water.

The outdrive paint will work good too, but if you are going to use Mission Bay or Smart Solution, either of these can be used on the outdrive too. (Just not AF-33!)
