Apply BoatLife Git Rust between 50°F and 90°F. Remove loose rust and paint flakes from surface with wire brush. Surface should be dry and oil free. Shake BoatLife Git Rust thoroughly before use. Spread Git-Rust evenly on surface with a small brush. Conversion of rust will be indicated by a blue-black surface color change. It may be desirable to top coat the surface with another coat of Git-Rust to provide a smoother finish. Let dry at least 24 hours before painting. For the best results, lightly sand Git-Rust between applications and before painting. Testing a small area for paint compatability is recommended. Two or more coats of paint may be needed for coverage. Some paints (eg. Latex) may exhibit bleed through. Clean up spills immediately with water and disposable towels.
