The amazing IM-KBD-16 PTZ controller from Iris Innovations comprises a control unit which can be hidden out of view and a solid, stylish joystick head unit that can be installed at the helm either internally or externally.
The head unit features a 3D joystick from which fully proportional pan tilt and zoom operation is achieved. The proportional control means the camera pan and tilt speed varies in accordance with how much the camera is zoomed in or out. The further the camera is zoomed in, the slower the camera will pan or tilt making it far easier to track far off objects.
The unit is machined from solid ABS plastic with a fantastic UV stabilised and hardened carbon fibre veneer, and looks amazing on any helm station.
The control box is used to connect the joystick to the camera and powers the joystick, and can be stowed safely out of view in order to eliminate unsightly cables.
The KBD-16 was designed specifically to drive our new fantastic PTZ-16 camera, but supports multi-addressing and multi-protocols which means it can be also used to drive the pan, tilt and zoom functions of many different controllable cameras.
