A single package topside alkyd enamel for use on primed steel and metal, wood, aluminum, or fiberglass. Originally developed for pleasure and commercial boats, the properties of this marine enamel make it also ideal for onshore or offshore oilfield equipment, farm machinery, and plant maintenance operations. Duralux Marine Enamels withstand repeated washings, resists oil and gasoline, and hold up to the discoloration effects of harbor gases.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
SURFACE PREPARATION: The surface must be dry and free of grease, wax, dirt, or other foreign matter. Scrape off all loose paint and dull any gloss area with a light sanding or power brushing. Remove all dust with a cloth dampened with paint thinner and allow to dry.
APPLICATION:
Unpainted Surfaces:
Wood - Prime with Duralux Yacht Primer M741, apply two coats of Duralux Marine Enamel.
Steel: On clean, rust free steel, apply two coats of Duralux Zinc Chromate M739 apply two coats of Duralux Marine Enamel.
Aluminum: Pretreat with suitable wash primer. Apply one coat of Duralux Zinc Chromate M739, Top with two full coats of Duralux Marine Enamel.
Fiberglass: Wipe down with Acetone prior to sanding and after sanding. Top with two full coats of Duralux Marine Enamel.
Painted Surfaces: Wood - Sand thoroughly, spot prime bare areas with Duralux Yacht Primer M741
Duralux Yacht Primer. Then apply two full coats of Duralux.
Steel: Clean all bare areas to bright steel. Touch up with two coats of Duralux Zinc Chromate Primer M739. Top with two full coats of Duralux Marine Enamel.
Aluminum: Touch up all bare areas with Duralux Zinc Chromate M739, top with two full coats of Duralux.
Fiberglass: Wipe down with Acetone prior to sanding and after sanding. Top with two full coats of Duralux Enamel.
THINNING: Duralux is made for use as it comes from the can. If thinning is desired, Use no more than one-half pint of Paint Thinner M650 per gallon. For spraying, use one-half pint to one pint per gallon.
COVERAGE: On properly prepared surfaces, expect to cover from 400-500 square feet per. gallon.
DRYING TIME: Four hours, hut slightly longer on damp or cold days. Allow 12-16 hours for thorough hardening before repainting.
CLEAN UP: Clean equipment with M650 Paint Thinner.
